A Little Sparkle, A Lot of Soul, and a Whole Lotta Louisiana Love
Q: What inspired the overall vibe of this wedding?
A little Old Hollywood, a little cozy autumn, and a whole lotta Louisiana love. This Tampa Bay couple got engaged in New Orleans (also my hometown, so instant soul connection). They wanted the day to feel both luxe and heartfelt, with warm fall wedding details, nods to the South, and meaningful personal touches baked into every moment.
Q: Where did it all begin?
With a private first look and vow exchange under the stunning Moorish architecture of Plant Hall at the University of Tampa. It was cinematic and deeply personal, especially for the bride, who honored her father’s memory throughout the day. Her bouquet held a vintage-style brooch, and the groom’s boutonniere repped his hometown with an LSU pin (Geaux Tigers).
Q: What was the ceremony like?
Held beneath the iconic arch of the Rialto Theatre in downtown Tampa, the ceremony was equal parts glamorous and emotional. The altar featured a show-stopping circular structure dripping with moody fall florals, hundreds of candles, and a dramatic crystal chandelier (subtle is not our love language).
The bride was preceded by multiple ring bearers and the tiniest flower girl ever, who rolled down the aisle in a wagon. It was adorable, it was tear-jerking, and it was everything!
Q: Let’s talk reception!
Total vibe shift, in the best possible way. Under twinkling cantina lights, the couple and wedding party second-lined into the reception with umbrellas, handkerchiefs, and pure New Orleans spirit. Guests lost their minds! The design? Cozy fall glam with a twist - metallic pumpkins, textured linens, moody autumnal centerpieces, and flickering candlelight everywhere. Oh, and an ice cream sandwich station because life’s too short to not have dessert on wheels.
Q: Any moments that stood out?
The sendoff! Guests waved light-up wishing wands as the newlyweds exited under soft golden light - pure Old Hollywood romance meets modern magic. It felt like the final scene of a movie (and honestly, it deserved an Oscar).
Q: What made this Tampa wedding so special?
The layering of meaning. The glam never outshined the heart - it amplified it. Every choice had purpose, from the smallest floral detail to the joyful Louisiana traditions woven throughout. This was warmth, elegance, and authentic celebration...all in perfect balance.
